An efficient mold design is the critical link to short lead times for molds, to minimizing the mold pay back period, and to reduce part cost. We will take the time to understand the project focus and we will consider all possibilities to realizing your goals. Slight changes to part design can often be the critical step to make a project reality.
   

ASH's engineers have a warehouse of knowledge from which to draw your next project. For our customers convenience, our engineers will translate the 2-D design or prototype into a 3-D format. The 3-D design may be viewed on any PC by downloading the free viewer found at SolidWorks™. It is also possible to review an ASH 3-D file without any special software, just ask for an ASH "eDrawing" when you submit your next project. After the 3-D model of a component, part, or assembly is complete, the mold design must then accommodate many factors including:

  • cosmetic ramifications
  • mold longevity
  • tool production speed
  • mold cavitation/part costs
  • start-up costs
Because we specialize in providing options that optimize your mold design from prototype to final production, we explore all possibilities and design alternatives, and we are limited only by your needs, desires, and objectives.

All ASH mold components are then translated into a 3-D design that is passed directly to our mold manufacturing group. We utilize the latest in CAD/CAM design and technology minimizing error and maximizing quality and speed.
